Quezon City hotels live in the largest city in Metro Manila. They are much cheaper than the premier hotels in Manila. The city is about 160 square kms and covers about 1/4 of the entire Metro Manila area. Bordering cities are Manila, Caloocan City, and Valenzuela City. Quezon City attractions:
The University of the Philippines at Diliman is in Quezon City, and is the country's premier public university. It was founded in June 1908, and is owned by the state. Many of the country's leaders, artists and professionals attended the University of the Philippines. Ataneo is a top private school in the country, and is also in Quezon City.

Another landmark in the city is Araneta Coliseum, where many of the Philippine Basketball Association games are played. The coliseum seats 32,000 people and has also hosted major boxing events such as the Mohammad Ali vs. Joe Frasier bout in 1976.

Quezon City typically is mild, even in the summertime. Rainy season is from May to October, and it is hottest in March and April. It is a little farther from Makati, so when you arrive via your cheap Manila flights, it will take about thirty more minutes to get to the city.
